President Walden called the meeting to order at 11:35 AM EDT.
President Walden led the Chapter in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Rosemary Amor led the Chapter in the singing of O Canada.
Joy Fehrenz led the Chapter in devotions.
President Walden introduced Chapter, National and Area Officers
John Lee moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes from the Pomona, CA meeting. Motion was adopted.
Treasurers report was given -- $6,077.63 with Wells Fargo and $42,007.00 with HFH
ND Laymon reported on election results of the Governing Board. 2004 FMCA budget was approved with a $270,652 deficit; the finance committee has recommended that annual membership dues be increased by $10 per year a mail vote will be taken later this year.
The Build Coordinator gave a build report and thanked National Secretary/Past International Area VP Ginger Painter and Internal Area VP Max Durbin for their efforts in making HfH an FMCA charity of choice.
VP Jewel Herbert reported on the upcoming Chapter build in Bethel, OH near Cincinnati and solicited volunteers.
Ralph Jennings gave the Nominating Committee report and made a plea for members to volunteer for officers.
The Chapter voted to revise the Standing Rules to allow a 2-year term for the ND & AND effective with the 04 elections
A By-laws/Standing Rules Committee was appointed with Jean Prior as Chairperson and Joy
Fehrenz and Dale Johnson as members.
A Site Selection Committee was appointed to make recommendations for a 2004 Chapter Build Site. Maury & Susan Bois, Ralph Jennings and John Lee were appointed to the committee the committee would select a chair.
National Secretary Ginger Painter presented the Chapter with a $500 check from the Coaches for Christ chapter.
President Walden announced that the Chapter had received appeals for help from two affiliates
Acknowledgments were given to: Bill Ferguson the American Coach Chapter raised $2,700, which was donated to two affiliates; also Nancy Jo Fridline for signing in members and guests and selling Chapter Coach Plaques and T-shirts.
FMCA for the Fun & Fitness Walk: We were unable to obtain a sponsor this year, so water bottles were provided instead of t-shirts.
Thanks were given to all who volunteered to represent the Chapter in the booth.
Chapter brochures were given to all with a request to pass them around to friends and fellow campers.
