PLEASE GIVE US YOUR SUPPORT

We are on our way back to Albania/Kosovo region with a 40 container of Medical , surgical, and infant supplies at this time. I cannot say the exact dates or the exact names of the places we will visit for fear that the Serbs will locate us and our aid and try to cut us off or worse. It will be very soon, however and we really need your help. Please consider making a tax deductible financial contribution or a donation of medical/surgical supplies today. You can contact us by E-Mail, phone, or in writing thru the US Mail. God bless you. Please help us to help others in need.

As all of you who know us are already aware, we are a GRASS ROOTS mission. Donna and I work out of our home to do most everything that the mission requires. The office is in our home, and since that is where it is, we find that we both put in between 10 and 15 hours daily. This is much more than a full time job for both of us. WE LOVE DOING THIS!!! It is a Blessing to US to be able to serve our Brothers and Sisters in various locations around the world.

It is difficult to continue at times because we are human and still living IN this world, although no longer OF it. One morning as I was praying I read the following from a little booklet: "Jesus said, 'You shall love the Lord your God with you whole heart, with your whole soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. The second is like it; You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'" (Mt. 22: 37-39) The reflection was about Christian Life being PRO-ACTIVE... in that we have to DO something to be following God's Holy Will. God's real commandments are based on love...love of God and love of neighbor."On these two commandments the whole law is based, and the prophets as well." (40)

I have been teaching classes on the Catechism of the Catholic Church this year. The Catechism teaches us repeatedly that faith is hollow without good works. It is NOT by FAITH ALONE THAT WE WILL BE SAVED, BUT BY FAITH AND GOOD WORKS. To this end, we have continued to attempt to do the Will of God, through the work of our hands. Your assistance in this work is essential without it, the work truly cannot continue. Whenever you help this mission, you are contributing to this work, you are acting upon the call to perform good works. You are living out your Confirmation, when, at the age of reason, you fulfilled your Baptism by receiving this sacrament. This sacrament conferred upon you both the right and the responsibility to live as a fulfilled Catholic... through your faith and your good works......

"Never give in then, my dear brothers, never admit defeat; keep on working at the Lord's work always knowing that in the Lord, you cannot be laboring in vain."

I Cor. 15:58

Our Blessed Mother tells us that the most important part of our life is the time spent in prayer. If you feel a desire to help us in our work, please consider us first in your prayers. As a charitable organization and most importantly, as individuals, we solicit your prayer more than anything else. Then recall that Our Lady has asked us to "Make your lives a prayer." After all, without a faithful relationship with The Lord, all our works are a waste of time. As human beings, we know that there are times when we could have done better if we had stopped and put our faith a little deeper in Jesus... your prayers can help us immeasurably in that regard.

Consider also how many wonderful people and organizations have helped us with the acquisition of supplies. It always seems that the Lord knows exactly what needs to be sent where and always according to His schedule. "Our current mission is in Albania/Kosovo and we intend to return to Nicaragua to continue efforts there with the poorest of the poor". Among other things, we see specific requirements as follows:

  • OB/GYN medicines/supplies
    (no birth control)
  • pediatric medicines
  • maintenance medicines (i.e., cardiac, insulin, blood pressure medicine, etc...)
  • head lice shampoo
  • powdered formula
  • baby wipes
  • cloth diapers
  • diaper pins
  • rubber pants
  • antiseptic aids
  • antibiotics
  • all types of medical and surgical equipment
  • children's educational supplies not restricted by language
  • dental supplies from A to Z, etc...
  • If you can make any of this happen, please contact Dr. Jack or Donna and they will see to it that your gifts get to someone who can use them.

Please note that as usual, medicines must not be expired, equipment should be complete and, we beg you, PLEASE send the operating manuals whenever possible. Thank you.
